With the theme of, “Dream On,” Hannah’s Home’s 5th Annual Gala raised a record-shattering $1.1 million, more than double the previous mark.
Over 320 guests gathered at the Pelican Club in Jupiter to celebrate the mission and the residents of Hannah’s Home. The event was chaired by Mastroianni Family Foundation founder, Nick Mastroianni II. Village of Tequesta attorneys Keith and Jennifer Davis served as honorary co-chairs.
For the third consecutive year, Mastroianni Family Foundation served as the gala’s presenting sponsor. Nick Mastroianni kicked off the program by donating $500,000 to support Hannah’s Home’s campus expansion, ensuring that the fifth annual event would be a success.
“This event far surpassed my dreams,” said Carol Beresford, founder of Hannah’s Home. “We watched the power of a community coming together to help those in need. I am so thankful for the generosity of those who share the vision for the future of Hannah’s Home and its residents.”
With the funds raised at the event, Hannah’s Home will continue construction of two “transition” cottages to house four more resident mothers and their children. The additions will boost capacity by 50 percent. The home has already completed an eight-room dormitory, childcare facility and on-site chapel.
WPTV News Channel 5 and WFLX Fox 29 anchor and reporter Tania Rogers returned as the gala’s honorary guest and emcee. Mike McGann of North Palm Beach’s Legends Radio led the live auction. Highlighting the program was an address from former Hannah’s Home resident, Jalisa DiBenedetto, who entered the program in 2012. DiBenedetto was the first Hannah’s Home alumna to wed in the new chapel.
Hannah’s Home serves pregnant women aged 18-25 offering a two-year residential program that provides food, clothing, licensed child care, professional case management, and medical and prenatal care at no cost to its residents. Since its doors opened in 2012, over 85 residents have found a home at Hannah’s Home.
