A Legacy of Philanthropy and Healthcare
Nicholas A. Mastroianni II, founder of the Mastroianni Family Foundation, began his philanthropic journey in 1995 by funding grants for children in need of cancer treatment and collaborating closely with Shriners Hospitals for Children. After losing his mother to breast cancer at just 19 years old, Nicholas developed a profound commitment to supporting cancer patients in meaningful ways. This dedication grew into a lifelong passion for advancing healthcare initiatives that have made transformative impacts on patients, families, and entire communities.
As a father, Nicholas has instilled this same commitment to giving back in his three children— Nicholas III, Anthony, and Audrey. Through their involvement in the foundation, each child champions projects aligned with their individual passions, ranging from pediatric healthcare and neurological research to environmental preservation.
The Mastroianni Family Foundation continues to support charitable organizations and nonprofit projects nationwide, reflecting the family’s belief in fostering meaningful change. As the family grows and future generations join the effort, their shared passion ensures the foundation’s legacy of philanthropy endures, making a lasting difference in local communities and beyond.
Pediatric Healthcare & Research Medical Grants
Grants are given to support scientific research and advance pediatric care at premier medical and health institutions in a variety of pediatric practices.
Typically, grants focus on but are not limited to Neonatology and Brain Science as well as Brain Development. Grants are awarded based on competitive proposals solicited by institutions, providers and researchers for work that is innovative and has measurable outcomes.
We want to close the gap between research, clinical development and the practical application of pediatric care at institutions nationwide. Submit your research program and/or hospital for consideration.
Businesses
Support a project that reflects your company's vision and demonstrates your commitment to giving back to your community.
We offer funding to for-profit companies and businesses to support their own charitable initiatives. Applications for funding are accepted year-round, with no strict deadlines—simply ensure that your project aligns with our mission to create impactful, community-enhancing initiatives in the United States.
While we welcome proposals across various fields, initiatives focused on children’s programs and healthcare will receive priority consideration.
